About this course

The Degree in Business from Anglia Ruskin University, can be done with LCL. The Undergraduate Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Management maintain the 240 credit course intended to quick track the students of the last year that related to completed the Undergraduate degree in Business and Management, which will be completed at a Anglia Ruskin University by distance learning.

The Level 4 modules and assignments of this course are proportional to the main year of a University Degree and the Level 5 modules and assignments are equal to the second year of a University Degree. This course is comprised of 10 Level 4 modules (120 credits) and 10 level 5 modules (120 credits), each level likewise incorporates 8 composed assignments. If the Students chooses to just examination at Level 4 they will get 120 credits and can apply for an exception from the main year of a University Degree course.

Every module comprises of around 40 guided learning hours of material with an extra 30-50 hours of discretionary learning material. These materials contain suggested works out, prescribed readings and web assets.

The Total fees for full degree course is £9,500.00. The Level 4 fees is £2500, Level 5 fees is £2500 & Anglia Ruskin Degree Level 6 is 4500.The fees will be paid through Invoice.

To enrol onto the Level 4 course, you must be at least 18 and have a full secondary education. Before enroling onto the Level 5 course, you must have attained a Level 4 or equivalent.

Modules  Understanding Work Based Learning And Your Sector You will gain an understanding of work-based learning and develop analytical, technological and communication skills. You will focus on the key features of successful management in your sector, applying tools such as SWOT and PESTLE analysis. Managing People, Customers and Markets This module focuses on key elements of management. You will examine organisational structures, the role of the manager within the organisation, and the practical skills of managing people. You will also analyse markets, internal and external stakeholders and supply chain management. Managing a Sustainable Business How do organisations respond to a rapidly changing world and build sustainable business? How do environmental and ethical issues impact upon business and can these issues present opportunities to organisations? Work Based Practice Working in pairs or individually, you will plan a project focused on a specific topic relevant to your work. Throughout the project you will have the support of Anglia Ruskin staff, and you will present your findings as a written report and verbal presentation. Managing Projects and Organisational Change  This module focuses on the skills and knowledge associated with delivering a successful business project. Projects often bring change, so the module also examines strategies and practical tools to manage change within organisations. Work Based Project Building on the plan developed in Work Based Practice, you will be given the opportunity to undertake this work-based project in your organisation. This project may relate to any of the major business disciplines including marketing, human resource management, accounting and finance, IT or business strategy. Leadership in Practice This module examines theories of leadership and practical leadership skills, along with the values and behaviours necessary to manage and lead projects, situations, self and teams. You will critically assess your leadership practice or potential for leadership. Financial Management and Financial Forecasting Managing finance is a core element of any business activity. This module is designed for people with a non-financial background, covering issues such as budgets, budgetary control, and applying financial data to make decisions. It then goes on to focus on financial forecasting to increase income for new projects and maintain competitive advantage. Strategic Management This module addresses strategy and examines an organisation within its strategic and competitive context. You will consider the strategic options open to an organisation and evaluate the practical impact of strategic choices, especially on people, resources and systems. Work Based Major Project This final project module enables you to build on your learning throughout the course to carry out an in-depth project dealing with an issue that is relevant to you and your work. Work Based Project Impact and Review Following on from your Work Based Major Project, this module is designed to measure the impact of your work. Having completed your project, you will assess its impact, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of your recommendations and gather feedback from colleagues, peers and academics. Reflections on Practice and Career Progression In this final module, you will assess your progress through the course, evaluate your practical and leadership skills and plan your future personal and career development. Assessment  We’ll assess you in a number of ways, including written reports, presentations, and a Major Project in your final year.

Successful completion of the full Level 4/5 Extended Diploma in Management and final year of an accredited Undergraduate Degree programme will give students the right credentials to go on and apply for a job in marketing, accounting, human resources, management or business consultancy.  A business management degree prepares you for a career in business, which can apply to any sector or industry.
